NCPD, community comes together for walk against gun violence

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) and community members came together for a walk through the Charleston Farms neighborhood to show unity and stand together against gun violence.

“The walk followed Monday’s tragic loss of a young man in the neighborhood, as well as other recent incidents of gun violence. Acting Chief Perry led the effort with a focus on engagement, visibility, and supporting the residents of Charleston Farms,” NCPD said.

The department said law enforcement, community leaders and community partners used the opportunity to connect with residents, listen to concerns, and demonstrate a collective commitment to creating safer neighborhoods.
