GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – One year after a Greenville Water worker was hit and killed on the job, his family is taking the search for justice into their own hands and offering a personal reward of their own.
The Greenville County Coroner’s Office said Cesar Pena was working for Greenville Water when a pickup truck hit him along East North Street. He later died from his injuries. Officials said he was wearing a reflective vest at the time of the crash.
Family says no one held accountable
Cesar Pena’s wife of 13 years, Laure Pena, said learning to live without him has been one of the hardest things she has had to do.
“It’s just been incredibly hard live with the fact that there’s been no justice. No one has been found responsible for this,” Laure Pena said. “The people who were involved in ending his life and destroying ours have to face some degree of consequence for that.”
Family offers $1,000 reward
Cesar Pena’s family is now offering a $1,000 reward for anyone with information to solve the case. They are hoping a new witness to the crash will come forward…
