CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — As scorching temperatures continue across the Tennessee Valley, experts warn the heat can be especially dangerous for older adults, particularly those who may not recognize the signs of overheating or dehydration.
Charlie Ingram, director of development at Right at Home, said people can often spot when someone has “gone beyond the point at which the experience they’re having outside is good for them,” and noted that staying cool can be more complicated for seniors.
