Bethel’s former Shasta school to become long-term youth center

EUGENE, Ore. – Boys & Girls Clubs of Emerald Valley signed a 20-year agreement with Bethel School District to use the former Shasta Middle School campus.

The deal gives the organization a permanent home for its administrative offices and room to expand youth programs in Bethel. Boys & Girls Clubs of Emerald Valley has worked with young people in the area for years but only had limited shared space before this move.

The Shasta Clubhouse now has 180 kids enrolled and could eventually serve up to 400. The Coleman Clubhouse at Westmoreland Park will keep running its after-school, summer and teen programs…
