COLONIE — The restaurant Ufondu Kitchen has opened at Colonie Center as an evolution of Keobi, which operated on Lark Street in Albany for almost six years before closing in January.
Ufondu’s first day was Monday. It is located on the Wolf Road side of the mall, at the large entrance beneath the sign for Regal Cinemas and across from the burger-themed Five Guys.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Although most of the mall’s stores close at 8 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 6 p.m. Sunday, chef-owner Obinna Nwagboso said he believes the presence of the 13-screen movie theater and the expectation of nighttime business for takeout and delivery will warrant staying open.
