4-H agent recognized for accomplishments at conference

Brandi Boaz, 4-H Youth Development Agent with N.C. Cooperative Extension was recognized during the 2026 North Carolina Association of Extension 4-H Youth Development Professionals Annual Conference, held in Asheville, NC, on August 19.

At the awards event, Caswell County 4-H Agent Brandi Boaz, was recognized as part of a team of nine county 4-H professionals and NC A&T STEM specialist that was awarded the Jim Kahler Excellence in STEM Programming Award. This award recognizes outstanding efforts in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics programming.

The program that won this prestigious award was a three-day summer STEM camp organized by youth development professionals from nine counties and N.C. A&T State University in the North Central District. Topics included Rube Goldberg challenges, LEGO robotics, Sphero, blueprints, drones, and AI.
