BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — In a recent DUI and driver’s license checkpoint, Bakersfield police screened more than 700 vehicles and detained one person for driving under the influence.
The checkpoint was operated on Friday, Sept. 4, by the Bakersfield Police Department’s Traffic Unit on the 1900 block of Ming Avenue between 6:30 p.m. and 2 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 5.

BPD said the checkpoint was operated in conjunction with a DUI saturation patrol event.
Specifically, police screened 728 vehicles and the one driver found to be under the influence was arrested on DUI charges…
