Following the major storms that tore through the Erie area on Sept. 2 into Sept. 3, the city of Erie has reopened a majority of the impacted roads.
The storms left downtown neighborhoods and streets dealing with tree damage, downed electrical wires, debris and power outages. A good amount of storm damage impacted the West Eighth Street and Frontier area of Erie, along with the Erie Cemetery and other areas.
City of Erie officials announced on Sept. 8 that “thanks to the hard work of city crews and volunteers, all major roads are open.”…
