GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — State troopers say a medical emergency may have contributed to a crash in Grand Rapids Tuesday afternoon.
In a social media post, Michigan State Police said a 33-year-old man was headed westbound and attempting to merge onto I-196 from College Avenue when his car hit a metal guardrail near Ottawa Avenue, at around 2:30 p.m.
