An unusually high tide combined with storms pushing extra water toward the shore will push seas up more than a foot above normal for a brief midweek stretch, covering some low-lying areas along San Francisco Bay.
The National Weather Service issued a coastal flood advisory from 8 p.m. Tuesday to 1 a.m. Thursday for the shorelines of San Francisco Bay, San Pablo Bay and Monterey Bay.
