New York City icon Carnegie Deli reopening in Midtown 10 years after closing

It’s official! The Carnegie Deli is reopening next week after the iconic restaurant teased its return on social media last month — 10 years after closing.

The restaurant will reopen Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 834 Seventh Avenue — the former home of the Stage Deli, its onetime rival in the pastrami wars.

Everything will be back, including the menu of corned beef, pastrami and knishes, the cheesecake and classic Wall of Fame filled with celebrity photographs. The waiters will also be back, and of course, it will be walk-in only — no reservations…
