(KRON) — Police in Sonoma are investigating after a man was found unconscious with significant head trauma Monday night in Plaza Park, authorities said.
The injured man was located around 10:30 p.m. by first responders near the fountain by First Street East. He was rushed to a local trauma center where he remains in critical condition as of Tuesday morning, according to the Sonoma Police Department.
“Based on information we have, we know that there were several witnesses to this person’s injuries who were no longer present when Sonoma PD and Fire arrived at the scene,” police wrote.
