One of two sisters hit in Toledo crosswalk returns to school

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – One of two sisters hit by a driver in a marked crosswalk outside Hawkins Elementary School on Friday returned to class this week.

The 5-year-old came back to St. Benedict Catholic School Monday. Her 11-year-old sister is still recovering.

“I gave her a big hug this morning when I saw her. She’s just smiley as ever,” said Principal Kristen Johnson.
