HONOLULU (KHON2) — A familiar stretch of downtown Honolulu is about to look a bit different. Starting today, Sept. 8, crews working for the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation, or HART, will begin pruning and removing trees along Halekauwila Street as rail construction moves into the area.
The work is expected to last about one month as crews work Monday through Friday, with weekends as needed.

The work area runs along Halekauwila Street between Richards and Cooke streets; so, people driving or parking nearby will need to expect intermittent rolling lane closures and parking restrictions.
