Carson Mall opened in 1973 at Avalon and Del Amo in Carson, California, with a single enclosed level and three department stores. It goes by SouthBay Pavilion now.
One of the three closed in 1991, and IKEA took over its building on three floors. Sears held on until 2017. JCPenney outlasted it.
