LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A rise in online threats against schools is causing class cancellations and criminal charges in Kentucky and across the country.
Law enforcement say some of the threats are connected to a troubling social media trend known as the “Cat in the Hat” threat, which often features eerie imagery paired with threatening language directed at schools, students or other institutions.
