RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) – A Richmond Police officer is being called a hero for reasons that have nothing to do with his badge, but everything to do with what he wears next to it.
Every day Officer Tommy Obenrader goes into work, he has a living donor pin on his vest, but really he should have two. Obenrader is a part of a small population in the United States that is a repeat living donor.
“All I had to do was lay down and go to sleep,” he said.
While Obenrader is humble and even casual about his donations, it’s no small feat…
