FOLSOM, California – September 8, 2026: The Folsom City Council is scheduled to consider two proposed ordinances Tuesday night that would create new rules for e-bikes and other electric conveyances on public property, including parks, playgrounds, school grounds, and along the city’s Class I trail network.
The proposals are scheduled for introduction and first reading at the September 8 City Council meeting. They are not currently in effect. Riders can review the broader statewide rules in my California E-Bike Laws guide while Folsom considers whether to add these local requirements.
