BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The Port of Greater Baton Rouge will soon have a new leader.
Greg Johnson, the port’s current deputy director, has been named its next executive director. A news release said he will officially take over Dec. 1, following the retirement of longtime Executive Director Jay Hardman.
Johnson has been part of the port’s administrative management team for more than 25 years. He previously served as director of business development before becoming deputy director in January 2025.
Hardman is retiring after 26 years with the Port of Greater Baton Rouge. He joined the port as director of engineering in 2000 and has served as executive director since 2006…
