The United Way of Acadiana and other partner agencies will open a neighborhood grocery store in north Lafayette early next year.
Officials announced the Jefferson Market & Deli, which will be housed at 620 Jefferson Blvd. in the 2,300-square-foot that last housed Jefferson Drug Store.
The for-profit store will offer fresh food, prepared items and everyday essentials for residents of the Pontiac Point, McComb-Veazey and Sterling Grove areas of Lafayette.
