WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – The first of several cold fronts is currently moving across Kansas. In addition to widespread showers and storms, temperatures will begin a downward trend today. While it will be hot in Wichita with a high in the upper 90s, for the first time since late August we are not under a weather alert for dangerous heat.
After a cooler Thursday in the middle to upper 80s, temperatures will trend back into the lower 90s on Friday. However, another cold front tracking across Kansas will bring additional showers, storms, and cooler temperatures to the state Friday night and Saturday.
The heat will build some on Sunday, and more so on Monday, as temperatures top-out in the lower to middle 90s respectively. This hot spell won’t last long as, yet another cold front arrives on Monday night with widespread showers and storms…
