DENVER (KDVR) — A shot was fired during an altercation with a patient in the emergency department of Lincoln Health on Tuesday night, the medical center announced in a social media post.
Nobody was injured during the incident.

Lincoln Health said that the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded immediately and was able to bring the situation under control, and the person was taken into custody.
“We are proud of the bravery demonstrated by our Lincoln Health team during an unexpected and serious situation, and our focus today is on supporting the staff members affected by the incident,” said CEO Kevin Stansbury in the social media post. “I could not be prouder of the way our team responded. Their courage, quick thinking, and commitment to one another made a tremendous difference in a very serious situation. We are equally grateful to Sheriff Nestor and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office for their immediate response and continued partnership in keeping our patients, staff and community safe.”…
