Suspect in Richland County break-ins, shootings arrested in Charleston

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – Authorities have identified a man now facing charges in connection with recent break-ins and shootings in the Midlands.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department said 27-year-old Shaheim Jackson was arrested on Sept. 2 in Charleston County and faces counts of attempted murder, first-degree burglary, kidnapping, along with weapons charges.

RCSD said Jackson was involved in two home invasions within two weeks of each other.

The first was reported on Aug. 13 on Warner Drive, where deputies discovered a home had been broken into. The victim told deputies that multiple people had broken into the home and fatally shot their dog before fleeing the scene…
