GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – A beloved Greenville police officer is returning to duty months after surviving a horrific head-on collision that claimed the lives of her wife, her parents, and two others.
Sergeant Diana Munoz is stepping back into public service following the May crash in Spartanburg County. The multi-vehicle collision left Munoz severely injured and resulted in five fatalities.
Among those killed in the crash was Munoz’s wife, Sergeant Ashley Munoz, who also served with the police department. Diana Munoz’s parents also died in the impact, along with both the driver and passenger of the other vehicle involved.
