Jersey City Council reviews plan to use $1.2M in CDBG funds for Ward C ‘pocket park’

The Jersey City Council reviewed a resolution to spend $1.2 million in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to purchase 128 Glenwood Ave. near McGinley Square, along with a related ordinance to create “a pocket park,” during Tuesday’s caucus.

“We’re putting together a plan with multiple parks including 128 Glenwood [Ave.] using the funds available,” Department of Infrastructure Director Andy Kaplan explained.

Ward C Councilman Tom Zuppa noted the property is in his district.
