Polk County Man Jailed On Attempted Murder Charge After Clothes Iron Attack

A Lake Wales man faces an attempted second-degree murder charge following an unprovoked attack on a housemate early Monday morning, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives arrested 46-year-old Christopher Lewis Boudreaux on Sept. 7, 2026, after investigators said he repeatedly struck another man in the head with a clothes iron, hitting him hard enough to shatter the appliance.

The incident occurred at a shared residence in Lake Wales. Sheriff’s office reports state that around 5:40 a.m., Boudreaux walked into a room where the victim was asleep on a couch and started yelling at him.
