SURFSIDE BEACH — The Surfside Beach town council took a major step toward getting a new home for their meetings.
The council on Tuesday, Sept. 8, approved a bid for the construction of a new town council/courtroom facility on the site of the former city hall/council chamber on Highway 17 in town.
Michael Supino of Charlotte-based Creech and Associates said five bids to do the project had been opened on Aug. 11 and BEC Construction came in with the lowest bid of $4,060,350…
