47 localities asking voters to consider a 1% sales tax for school construction, renovation

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Several Virginia localities are asking voters to consider a 1% sales tax for school construction and renovation.

According to a presentation delivered to the Commission on School Construction and Modernization, 47 localities have approved a resolution to put a referendum on the ballot this fall, asking voters to approve a 1% sales tax for school construction and renovation.
