SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. — A 38-year-old woman was killed in a shooting near Howe Avenue on Tuesday, Sept. 8, and investigators say the suspect later died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Just before 3 p.m., Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the area near the Panera on Howe Avenue after witnesses reported a shooting. Deputies found the woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses provided deputies with a description of the suspect’s vehicle. Investigators entered the vehicle into the FLOCK license plate reader system and quickly identified its last known location…
