SacRT Blue Line service to be partially suspended for 2 weeks

(FOX40.COM) — A portion of the Sacramento Regional Transit District’s Blue Line light rail service will be partially suspended for over two weeks to allow for construction, SacRT announced.

According to officials, the Blue Line will be unavailable between City College Station and Florin Station from Sept. 11 through Sept. 30, and regular Blue Line service will return Oct. 1.

SacRT said that the closure will allow construction at area stations. The 47th Avenue station will have its platforms raised eight inches to meet the height requirements for low-floor Siemens S700 trains, and the Fruitridge station will see shelter adjustments…
