A new Kennett Square restaurant opening this week has announced it will direct all of its profits to supporting community nonprofits.
Opus, a Square Roots Collective project led by Executive Chef Matt Anderson, will host a ribbon-cutting and open house on Thursday, Sept. 10, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., one day before the public opening on Friday, Sept. 11. The restaurant will offer New American cuisine within the broader creative community already anchored by The Creamery, Artelo Hotel, and The Francis Hotel & Suites.
According to a MyChesCo report, Opus will join the Square Roots Collective’s hospitality portfolio in directing profits from its operations to support community-focused projects.
