Baton Rouge-based HRM Concrete and Jennings-based Port Aggregates have formed HPDC, a joint venture with two out-of-state companies, Concrete Supply Co. and Dawkins On-Site Concrete. The venture will supply concrete and construction aggregates for major projects across Louisiana.
The partnership comes as Louisiana faces growing demand for construction materials tied to data centers, industrial developments, petrochemical expansions and other major projects. The companies say HPDC will let them combine existing Louisiana production and trucking networks with portable, on-site concrete plants that can handle large or remote projects.
“Louisiana is absorbing more concrete and construction aggregates than any single company in this state can cover on the schedule these projects require,” HRM Concrete principal Tripp Heck said in a statement. “HPDC puts Louisiana producers at the center of that work and brings in the portable-plant and mass-pour capacity the mega-projects demand.”…
