OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – A man has entered a plea to charges in connection with a fiery Benson crash that killed an Omaha woman in April.
Chase Rivera, 23, pleaded no contest to motor vehicle homicide and driving under the influence on Sept. 2 in Douglas County District Court before Judge Kimberly Miller Pankonin.
Rivera, who turns 24 next week, faces up to 20 years in prison. His sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 29.
The charges stem from an April 24 crash at 58th Street and Northwest Radial Highway. Police said Rivera ran a red light in his Nissan Altima, striking a Toyota Corolla driven by Mica Bryant, 48…
