Beloit man sentenced for selling green-colored fentanyl that killed woman

JANESVILLE — A Beloit man will serve a 35-year sentence, 19 years of which will be behind bars, for selling a packet of deadly, green-colored fentanyl that killed a woman in Janesville.

Rock County Judge Jeffrey Kuglitsch sentenced Eric Carter, 39, of Beloit on Wednesday in the July 2023 death of a woman who police found dead on Jackson Street in Janesville after buying green fentanyl from Carter.
