CANAL FULTON, Ohio — Neighbors, local businesses and fellow first responders raised more than $12,000 for firefighter/paramedic Jarod Hare and his family during the three-hour Hare Strong benefit on Canal Street on August 31, according to Frontline Legacy Group.
The community gathered to support Jarod, his wife Mikaila and their family following Jarod’s accident. By September 6, overall support for the family exceeded $32,000, according to Frontline’s update. That total includes the event proceeds.
The Barrel Room on Canal hosted the gathering. Rhino Entertainment, which also provided entertainment at the Hares’ wedding, returned to provide live music for the benefit. Food trucks, vendors, raffle supporters and residents contributed, with pass-the-boot donations and a Hare Strong shirt campaign providing additional ways to help.
