Buncombe County has reopened applications for a housing development partner in the Just Home Project, with proposals due October 30 at noon. The effort seeks housing for people experiencing housing instability who are involved in the justice system.
The partner selected for the project’s second phase will be eligible to apply for up to $5 million in program-related investment financing. Selection does not guarantee a loan, and the amount would depend on the project’s size and needs, according to the county.
Proposals can involve building, buying, rehabilitating or converting housing for people who face significant barriers to housing stability.
