Murfreesboro City Schools Board Swears In Members and Elects Leadership

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) – Three members of the Murfreesboro City Schools (MCS) Board of Directors took their oaths of office Tuesday before the board selected its leadership team for the upcoming term.

Incumbent board members Amanda Moore, Barbara Long, and Karen Dodd officially swore in to begin their new terms on the board. Following the ceremony, board members voted unanimously to retain Amanda Moore as Board Chair and Butch Campbell as Vice Chair. Moore and Campbell will continue to lead the seven-member board as it directs policies and priorities for local public schools.
