ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Deputies from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office shot and killed Gregory Kase on Aug. 9 after responding to a hotel room where he was attempting suicide.
Bodycam footage shows Kase was unable to hear the deputies during the altercation. He then approached deputies with a box cutter, and deputies shot him. Deputies and then say they were never told Kase was deaf.
