18-year-old arrested for deadly Tallahassee parking garage shooting

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – An 18-year-old was arrested for a May shooting that left one dead and injured two others, according to the Tallahassee Police Department.

Jeray Ellis, Jr. was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder, the police department said.

On May 24, several people were injured in a shooting at a parking garage at 411 Chapel Drive just before 5 a.m.

One of the victims was 18-year-old Gavin Yates-Lyons. He had just graduated from Lowndes High School. Yates-Lyons died nearly a week after the shooting. The other two people who were shot were treated for their injuries…
