RENO, Nev. — Twenty-five years after the September 11 attacks, Reno resident Ann Silver still remembers how ordinary the morning began.
Silver was working for a restaurant company on the ninth floor of the World Trade Center’s North Tower on Sept. 11, 2001. She had previously lived in Nevada and said the weather that morning reminded her of the Silver State.
“It was bright blue skies and no humidity,” Silver said. “It was a day that New York sees very infrequently, just an absolutely glorious fall day. And it was a day that you would have never anticipated anything terrible happening.”…
