CAPE CORAL, Fla. —
Daniel Eric Colon, the man shot by Cape Coral police Wednesday near the City Mattress off Del Prado Boulevard North after being accused of pointing a gun at law enforcement, has died in the hospital, according to the Cape Coral Police Department.
CCPD investigators later discovered that Colon had a CO2 airsoft pistol.
