Despite concerns from county planners, a Walmart property at a busy Fort Mill intersection is now closer to becoming a warehouse and distribution site.
York County Council voted to allow rezoning for the distribution plan at U.S. 21 and Flint Hill Road on Monday. County planning staff recommended against a change from commercial to industrial uses, as did the county Planning Commission. Those concerns centered on area traffic and nearby homes.
