Man accused of beating victim with a gun in Mon County

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — An Ohio man has been arrested in Monongalia County and is facing charges after deputies say the gun he was holding discharged during an altercation with another man.

According to a release from the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office, on Thursday morning at 10:16 a.m., MECCA-911 received a report of an argument between two men taking place at a short-term rental on Chestnut Ridge Road in the Morgantown area.

Deputies learned that during the altercation, one of the men, identified as Cameron Hall, of Ohio, allegedly “produced a firearm” and struck the victim in the face with it.
