The Ohio State School for the Blind and the adjacent Ohio School for the Deaf, located north of Morse Road and east of North High Street, have secured funding from the state to construct a bridge, roadway and walkway between the two schools.
Construction would take place in Bill Moose Run, a protected 73-acre wooded ravine that divides the two campuses.
School personnel have cited safety concerns as their main motivation for the bridge. Currently, students, staff and families must travel on High and Morse to get between campuses.
