EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The man accused of stealing a beer truck and using it to crash into a Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s deputy’s cruiser earlier this year has plead guilty
Randall Baker plead guilty to two counts of resisting law enforcement, criminal recklessness, operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person and theft. A charge of attempted murder was dismissed.
Baker will serve 2.5 years in prison, followed by 182 days on a work release program, and three years on probation. As a condition of the plea agreement, Baker agreed to pay a restitution of $15,339.04 to Working Distributors, to go through mental health and substance abuse evaluations and have his driver’s license suspended for one year…
