HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Evansville Police arrested a felon on Wednesday after authorities say they found more than 100 rounds of ammunition, four firearms and methamphetamine during a warrant arrest.
Authorities say detectives with the Evansville-Vanderburgh County Drug Task Force located Tylorean Matthews, 35, who was wanted on two active felony warrants. Authorities conducted a traffic stop near Covert Avenue and Lodge Avenue on Matthews’ vehicle, where they say he was taken into custody without incident.
During a search, officers reported finding 5 grams of methamphetamine on Matthews as well as $4,633 dollars in cash. Inside the vehicle, officers reported finding a digital scale with residue of methamphetamine, multiple empty plastic bags, two 9mm firearms, one 12-gauge shotgun and a .308-caliber rifle with no serial number. They also reported finding more than 100 rounds of ammunition in various calibers.
