GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) – A man charged in a pair of Winston-Salem stabbings, resulting in the death of one of the victims, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in Forsyth County Court on Sept. 2.
Oscar Daniel Noyola-Lopez pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury in the stabbing death of Jamar Dewan Wiley, 38, on April 30, 2024.

The judge sentenced Noyola-Lopez to 390 to 492 months, or 32 years, 6 months, to 41 years, in prison.
According to a press release from Forsyth County District Attorney Jim O’Neill, on the morning of April 30, 2024, Noyola-Lopez and Jeffrey Hugo Silva arrived at a Citgo on North Liberty Street in Winston-Salem and started an argument with Wiley. Neither Noyola-Lopez nor Silva knew Wiley before that morning.
Following the argument, Wiley bent down to pick up his glasses and Noyola-Lopez took out a knife and stabbed him in the chest. Wiley was unarmed and initially survived the attack but died at the hospital later that day…
