ST. CLOUD, Fla. – School zone speed cameras in St. Cloud generated nearly $563,000 in collected funds and helped reduce speeds while they were active, according to the St. Cloud Police Department’s 2026 annual report.
The cameras issued 7,207 violations at six schools between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026. Enforcement stopped on November 8, 2025, because of a legal challenge. The cameras remain inactive.
Of the violations issued, 5,325 were paid, while 405 were issued as Uniform Traffic Citations. Thirty-two violations were contested, eight were upheld, and none were dismissed. Police said the remaining violations may still be pending payment, under appeal, or within statutory timelines…
