MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – The Montgomery District Attorney’s Office says it is ready to prosecute recent violent crimes. Chief Deputy District Attorney Michele Davidson said the community should be tired of the violence.
“Know that the law enforcement is ready to investigate these cases. They are doing it. And our office stands ready to prosecute those cases,” Davidson said.
Five out of the 10 victims involved in shootings over the Labor Day weekend will not cooperate with police, according to Chief Jim Graboys with the Montgomery Police Department.
- Two men were shot on West Edgemont Avenue Friday evening
- Three men were shot on South Court Street Saturday night
- Michael Miller, 34, was shot and killed on Upper Wetumpka Road Saturday evening in what’s being described as a “targeted attack”
- Two juveniles were shot Sunday evening at McDonald’s on Taylor Road
- Two men were shot on White Acres Road just after midnight Monday.
