RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond leaders are involving themselves in the massive and highly controversial proposed merger between Dominion Energy and NextEra Energy, citing concerns about the potential impacts the deal could have on the city’s residents.
During a special meeting of the Richmond City Council on Thursday, Sept. 10, city councilors unanimously approved a resolution allowing the city to become involved in the Dominion-NextEra merger case.
